Founder | Principal
Jim Heininger, who established Dixon | James Communications in 2010, has been building and safeguarding some of the most respected brands for more than 30 years. Jim is a consumer and corporate brand marketing expert and experienced change management practitioner. He previously held leadership positions at the Chicago offices of Ogilvy, Porter Novelli and Ketchum and served as a communications consultant to McDonald's Corporation. Jim is best known for his work with McDonald's (managing through consumer issues affecting corporate reputation), Procter & Gamble, Wendy's (making Founder Dave Thomas a cultural icon and patron saint of adoption), Miller Brewing Company, Lion's Club International (global branding campaign on Lions' efforts to conquer blindness) and many successful change management initiatives for McDonald's, BMO Harris and others. Jim is a rebranding evangelist and has led multiple businesses through this strategic business transformation.
Jim received his bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of Iowa and today serves on the school's Professional Advisory Board. Read more
